Paisley Varano, MA, BCBA, LBA

Owner and Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Paisley grew up in Arab, AL but now calls Florence home. She has a BA in Public Communications from the University of North Alabama and an MA in Applied Behavior Analysis from Ball State University. She has seven years of experience working in the field of ABA. She loves this field because of the tremendous joy it brings her to do life with all of her families. Paisley is a co-founder of The Extraordinary Foundation as well as a board member of Every Piece Matters. She has two cats and a whippet puppy and she is a Christ-follower.

​

Fun fact: Paisley loves to learn about world cultures and also loves to bargain hunt and shop for antiques. She is an Enneagram Type 9.

Haylee Goode, MS, BCBA, LBA

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Haylee lives in Cullman with her husband, baby girl, and pets. She has a BS in Psychology and Family Studies from the University of North Alabama and an MS in Applied Behavior Analysis and Education for Students with Visual Impairments from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She has five years of experience working in the field of ABA. Haylee loves to be a part of every child's unique journey and celebrate every victory big or small.

Fun fact: Haylee plays bass guitar with her husband in their band, Brother Goode, and takes stunt photography and videography. She is an Enneagram Type 9.

Lauren Harrison, MS, BCBA, LBA

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Lauren is a Shoals' native and is an alumnus of Muscle Shoals High School. She has her BS in Psychology from the University of North Alabama and her MS in Applied Behavior Analysis and Education for Students with Visual Impairments from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.  Lauren is passionate about providing children with a positive, caring, and nurturing learning environment. She strives to promote a sense of confidence and independence in every child and loves to celebrate every accomplishment that they reach.

Fun fact: Lauren runs a social media based thrifting resale business. She is also creates pottery, paints murals, and crafts many items to sell including hand-lettered goods. She is an Enneagram Type 6.

Lydia Powers, MS, BCBA, LBA

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Lydia is from Florence and is an alumnus of Mars Hill Bible School. She has her BS in Psychology from Freed-Hardeman University and her MS in ABA from Arizona State University. She is passionate about providing the most compassionate care for children in all stages of their lives. She strives to create joy for each child she is with. 

​

Fun fact: Lydia has traveled to over 15 countries when she studied abroad in Europe for 3 months. She is an Enneagram 2. Lydia will get married to her fiance, Alex, at the end of 2025!

Hannah Mashburn, BS

Office Manager

Hannah is from Florence, AL and graduated from Florence High School in 2019. She has her undergraduate degree in Applied Health Science from the University of North Alabama. Although her role at FTO is office manager, she loves hearing the RBTs and children in the background as they work together to reach their milestones!

Fun fact: Hannah is an Enneagram Type 2 and is married to her husband, Andrew!

Abbey Staples, MS, BCBA, LBA

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

Abbey is a native to Georgia but lived in Colorado before finding her way to the Shoals. She now lives in Florence with her husband, Matthew, and three children. Abbey received her bachelors from Samford University and her masters from Colorado State University. She owns Lighthouse Education Consultants, a local business specifically aiming to provide ABA and educational expertise for local school systems. She has experience as a special education teacher in both Colorado and Alabama along with her experience providing behavior services to local school systems. 

​

Fun fact: Abbey's favorite past time is alpine skiing and spending time in the snowy, mountainous climates with her husband. She dreams of teaching her children to join her on the slopes.

Kenzie Balch, MS, RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

Kenzie grew up and lives in Florence with her husband and two kids. She has a BS in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in health and business from UNA. Kenzie has a Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis from Capella University. Her favorite part about working with kids in watching them when they reach their goals. 

 

Fun fact: Kenzie loves spending time with family, traveling, and Disney.

Maranda Mendez, BS, RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

Maranda is a Shoals native who currently lives in Sheffield with her husband and pets. She has a BS in Psychology and a BA in Sociology from the University of North Alabama. She is very passionate about mental health and is interested in the field of clinical psychology. Her favorite part of working at FTO is getting to work with the kids and being part of their ABA journey. 

​

Fun fact: Maranda loves anything bumble bee related! She also enjoys crafting, reading, and nature. She is an Enneagram Type 6.

Katie Brown, BS, RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

Katie grew up in Auburn, AL but currently lives in Florence. She recently graduated from Troy University where she received a BS in Rehabilitation and Disability Studies with a double minor in American Sign Language and Applied Behavior Analysis. She will be attending UAH beginning in the Fall of 2024 to pursue a masters in ABA. Her favorite part about the field is being able to give hope and encouragement to parents and caregivers while working alongside their child to reach their goals. â€‹

Fun fact: Katie is an enneagram type 9, can juggle, and is a big advocate for Hope Heals Camp!

Kylee Caldwell, RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

Kylee grew up in Virginia Beach, VA, but moved to Florence with her family after her dad retired from the military and after graduating high school. She became an RBT in January of 2025 and can’t wait to learn and grow in this field. Her favorite part about working at FTO is getting to see each child learn, grow, and reach their goals. 

 

Fun Fact: She loves any kind of crafts and recently learned how to crochet.

Emily Pound, BA, RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

​Emily has lived in Florida for the last 12 years and around late summer 2024 moved to Florence to attend UNA. She received her BA in psychology from the University of North Florida and is currently studying to obtain her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Emily has been an RBT for about 2 years prior to here and has previous experience working with kids in the head start program. She loves to be a part of the therapeutic process to help the kids reach their goals and to grow beyond them.

​

Fun fact: Emily is a music lover and often has to refrain from continuing to buy too many vinyls to collect and listen to.

Lauren Allen, RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

Lauren is originally from Cherokee, and she graduated from Mars Hill. Afterwards, she attended Faulkner University where she graduated with a bachelors in counseling psychology. She now lives in Florence and has been working at For the One since April 2025. She enjoys traveling and good music.

Fun fact: Lauren is 6’1 and an enneagram type 9.

Jeanette Green, RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

Jeanette has a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in elementary education. Jeanette loves children and has worked with kids ranging in age from birth to 12 years old. She is so excited to work at For The One and to get to know all the clients. She is currently attending UAH where she is pursuing her masters in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Fun Fact: Jeanette is married and has three children.

Mollie Bradley, RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

Mollie was born and raised in Florence and now lives in Killen. She graduated from Mars Hill and attended college at UNA and Shelton State. She recently married her husband Mason and now has a sweet step daughter, Maven! She loves For The One because of the amazing clients, their families and the coworkers who are more like friends (And getting to play with the toys). :) She said, "The energy is amazing and always so optimistic." She is a returning employee at For The One but got her RBT certification as an RBT at FTO in November 2022. She went on to use her expereince as an RBT at Brooks Elementary where her two sons, Monroe and Bo, attend school. She can’t wait to learn and grow as a person and RBT at For The One!

Fun fact: Mollie loves overalls and would wear them everyday if she could!

Katie Jackson, RBT

Registered Behavior Technician

Katie was born in Columbus, Ohio but has lived the majority of her life in Florence where she lives with her two children. She is an alumna of Florence High School and is currently working on her Bachelor in Social Work at UNA. She also plans to pursue a masters in ABA. Katie worked as an RBT in 2020 while living in Tennessee and got certified again in 2025. Her favorite thing about the field is helping each child reach their goals and seeing the progress each child makes. 

​

Fun fact: Katie loves spending time with her kids, traveling to new places, and reading. She is an Enneagram Type 2.

Emily Harris

In Training

Emily grew up in Lawrenceburg, TN, where she currently lives. She recently graduated from Freed-Hardeman University where she received a BS in Child and Family Science. She looks forward to joining the team at For The One and getting to know everyone.
